( The Winner’s Cap )

“I acquired this cap by winning a bet. I don’t remember what the bet was about, but what I do remember is a feeling of respect for the person I had won it from. I was proud I could wear it.”

I am not a cap guy, yet this one has an unusual capability : it just fits my head perfectly. On a daily basis, I don’t wear it, probably because I don’t want to associate it with my daily self. I use it mainly to protect my rest alongside with my headphones when I know I am going to sleep in a plane, in a train or in a bus. It is therefore probably one of the only clothing that travels with me, all the time.

A glance at the top of the Andes, a ride through the endless plains of the Altiplano, a hike in the desert or a storm on the North Sea; these are some extreme situations I lived through while wearing my cap. Fortunately, it was also there for a nice chill at the beach, a barbecue in the countryside or a good game of football with friends.
